Specialist Paints' Metal Flakes are the HIGHEST grade you can buy. They are ultra thin, easy to smooth out and have an outstanding sparkle. Our Flakes are solvent proof and wont fade in sunlight due to their UV coating. We have had 1000's of customers use our flakes and continue to use them due to their quality and durability. Apply our Flakes over any base colour to produce a real custom effect. Add the flake to Automotive Lacquer (solvent or water based) clear base coats, varnish and can also be used for Arts & Crafts.

Application:

• Start by prepping your project as you would any other paint job. (Sand, Prime, etc.)
• Apply 2-3 coats of Base coat.
• Add the flake to a clear base coat, lacquer or flake carrier and stir well (the amount of flake you will add to your clear medium will be determined by how strong/heavy you would like the effect to be)
• Apply the flake untill you get the effect you desire. (Always spray test panels before spraying your product or project to see the effect and to ensure it is what you want)
• Apply lacquer untill the flake is fully covered and you have full a gloss finish.
