Description: Ben Banks is a scruffy but loveable character who spends his
days and nights drifting by in life, hanging out with his friends and smoking
pot atop the bluffs of his hometown in Southern Utah. Ben is an aging college
student with one journalism course to complete until he (finally) earns his
degree. Before he can graduate, he has to write at least one usable article for
the school paper. This will be a challenge, as the last article he wrote was a
film review that said - "GO!"
His love life isn't much better, in that, he has no love life. The only girl
he's interested in is the girl at the coffee shop, the beautiful Amy (Mischa
Barton), but he's too scared to ask her out. One night, while doing "research"
(by research, meaning looking at porn on the Internet) Ben stumbles across sexy
photos of Amy. Shocked by what he sees, he can hardly talk to her the next day.
She confronts him on it and he apologises for judging her. They end up agreeing
to go out on a date. In fact, they end up going on a few dates and things are
going well.... until Ben finds out exactly what Amy had done in her past -
starred in erotic movies. She storms off, knowing Ben will never accept her,
knowing what she has done.
Ben ultimately decides that Amy's past should not affect how he feels about her.
Who is he to judge her anyway? To show Amy how much he cares, he and his very
large friend, pay a visit to the company who owns Amy's videos and "convinces"
them to remove her from their websites. The company tracks Amy down and gives
her a box full of her scandalous material. It's like it never happened.
Meanwhile, love has made a new man out of Ben - he graduates from college, gets
a job with the local paper and cuts his hair. He sits atop the bluffs where he
used to get high with his friend and contemplates his new life. Just then, he
sees someone climbing the bluffs towards him - it's Amy. The misadventures of
Ben Banks are over and a new adventure begins.
