Description: When reputable directors like Chu Yuan dabbled in erotica,
it gave the genre credibility and with audience acceptance, came the sign of
Hong Kong's retreat from traditional ethics. With "Lust For Love Of A Chinese
Courtesan" Chu returned to his 1970's, daring, erotic roots but since now
censorship laws were more lax, he could literally let it all hang out. Newcomer
sex kitten Hu Kuan-chen plays the pathetic, starving lost girl, stumbling into
brothel work under the lesbian control of her sex-master, played by the
beautiful Yu An-an. What also set Chu's soft-core movies apart from many others
was his fanciful incorporation of martial arts action, where in this film,
Jackie Chan's kung-fu classmates Yuan Pin and Yuen Hua add glamorous pugilism to
the erotic fray.
