This is Volume 11 in the wonderful 1947 edition of the series of parental guide books with articles and stories on subject's of interest to parents in the raising of little children.  Included in this volume is advice for parents on the raising of children, with emphasis on how children learn and what the parent can do to encourage them.  Among the articles in the book are What Parents Should Expect from School, Language Development, Learning to Read, Learning to Spell, Music in the Child's Development, and Home and School Co-operation.  The book is in good condition;  the spine is tight, and the cover is fairly clean with moderate shelf wear including some soiling (inlcuding spots on the cover where a cup or something was placed),  scuffing and/or bumping.  The pages clear and easily readable with moderate fading or yellowing, and the illustrations are sharp.  There is no dust jacket.  See photographs.

The book is a delightful book in this great series, and it would be an excellant addition to anyone's book collection.  

The book is about 7" x 10" x 3/4", 250 pages and about 2-3 lbs.+/-  with packaging.
