Replacement Dial Cord String for your Vintage Tube Radio Restoration projects.
"Thin" to "Standard" Diameter 0.030"-0.034" (0.75 mm-0.9 mm)
An excellent replacement cord for some 1940's and 1950's Vintage Tube Radios (Like the Trans-Oceanic). Compatible with brands like RCA, Philco, GE, Airline, Silvertone, Westinghouse, Motorola, Zenith, etc.
Also for some Yamaha, Pioneer, Sansui, Marantz, Fisher, Scott, McIntosh and other Receivers.

Make sure you are not buying a solid braid cord because that makes it square.
You need a round cord to work smoothly on pulleys and shafts.

Woven Nylon cords are superior in performance than twisted cords that unravel easily.
The exterior weave is tightly braided, unlike other cords, has good abrasion properties
that insure good grip on pulleys for a long time of maintenance-free performance.
(This is not a thread or string like what you usually get from a fabric store)

Product Specs:
  • 12 ft length enough to replace 2 to 3 Dial Cord
  • 0.032" (0.8 mm) Approx. Diameter (Standard-Thin)
  • Smooth Woven Nylon over multi-strand core (replaces twisted twine and cotton cords)
  • Strong and durable (twisted cords can unravel and become frayed)
  • Braided Nylon over a multi-strand core reduces stretching.
Make sure you have the tension spring installed correctly, this will insure proper tension and performance.
