Superman returns (two years later) in this exciting sequel to the 1948 serial! This time he's up against his arch enemy Lex Luthor. This was Luthor's first screen appearance (played here by Lyle Talbot). Luthor through the use of his transporting coin, and the help of his alter ego the Atom Man do their best to wreck havoc on the city of Metropolis, and destroy Superman. Kirk Alyn returned to reprise his greatest serial role.
