This compact little module measures just 33mm x 23mm x 15mm (smaller than a matchbox!), making it so easy to locate! It replaces the Temic type module (crossed out in the picture below) to get your electric windows working again at a fraction of the cost of replacing the complete window regulator. The modules are all hand built and tested in house by an automotive technician with 31 years experience in auto-electrics and general motor vehicle repairs, as well as electronics and diagnostics. All internal connections are soldered to avoid the possibility of a loose connection in service. No push on terminals, crimp or otherwise are used inside the module! The internal components are completely encapsulated in sealing compound to stop any moisture getting into them when they are fitted inside the door (most Renaults seem to have a problem with water ingress into this area!). The module can be fitted to any of the doors on your vehicle displaying symptoms of a faulty module and is guaranteed for life from date of purchase . Please check that your original module looks like the one in the pictures below before ordering. If it doesn't, you may still be able to fit this module to your car, but please contact us first for advice.
Symptoms of a faulty module!
1. The window has stopped working in both directions with no noises from inside the door when the switch is pressed! 2. The window will only work in one direction! 3. The window only works sometimes! 4. The window operates on its own, usually leaving the window stuck open! If you need any assistance please ask. In 99% of cases the motor and regulator will be perfectly fine but will not work without replacing the module!
Fitting the replacement module
To fit the replacement module you will need to remove the door panel/card associated with the faulty window. The original Temic unit is held in position on the motor with one screw. When this screw is removed, the old module just pulls away from the motor leaving the terminals exposed. Two of the connectors from the new module push onto these terminals. The other four terminals plug into the original wiring harness connector. Simply insert the blade terminals into the connector that was attached to your original Temic unit. It's as simple as that! Full instructions included. If you do not feel able to fit the module yourself, any auto-electrician or garage could fit it for you. These modules can be fitted to the CC hard top convertible with no problems, except that the central switch will not operate the window to which the replacement module is fitted. They can also be used on the rear windows of the soft top convertible. Operation of the replacement module
The replacement module operates the window in much the same way as the original module except that the "one-touch" and "total closure" features will not be available. This means that the window will not go up and down automatically with one touch (comfort control). The window will not be able to be closed using the remote control either, although not all models have this feature in any case.
