original Italian helmet cover,s very similar as used in ww2
material is in cotton linen twill. these covers where used in Somalia with the Italian piece keeping force
part of the UN contingent. 1990s
covers are new not issued in perfect condition
there are two types jungle camo green and desert camo yellow/grass lands
The jungle type has Velcro tabs on the inside for attachment to the helmet liner and elastic sown around the edge too keep it tight around the helmet ,cover has foliage loops sown all over it for adding sticks and leaves for added camouflage this cover will fit a larger post war type helmets theses covers come in size.s 1,2,3
I only have size 1.2
the desert type has elastic sown around the edge to keep it fitted to the helmet there are no foliage loops or tabs on this type . cover fits smaller type helmets the cut of the helmet cover is later ww2 pattern,theses covers come in size.s 1,2,3
