The split design allows the two halves of the thread restorer to be fitted to the good thread (usually at the base of the stud), and then wound back over the damaged thread, straightening and restoring.
The set includes four split dies to suit the most common HGV wheel stud sizes: M18 x 1.5, M20 x 1.5, M22 x 1.5 and 7/8" x 11 BSF. The adaptor hex size is 22mm
