Indian Rosewood Characteristics

Has a medium texture and fairly small pores.  The grain is usually narrowly interlocked.  Very durable and resistant to termites.

Color Range

Golden Brown to purplish brown with dark brown/black streaks.  Darkens with age to deep dark brown.

What's The Tree Like?

A tall tree 100 feet or more, producing a long, straight trunk about 36 inches in diameter.
