This listing is for a STUNNING antique German .800 Silver 11" oval chased and pierced decorated bowl/dish with elaborate chased Cherub design.
The bowl has an ornately pierced, chased decorated outer body with frolicking cherubs in center in high relief. There are two (2) cartouche with cherubs for monograms (above and below) and two (2) pierced cartouche with flower baskets (left and right). The four cartouche are connected with intricate swags of flower garlands.
The entire body of the dish is elaborately decorated. Silver is marked on upper left center above cherubs with a crescent moon and a crown which dates the piece post-1886 and ".800" for silver content.
Measures 1 3/4" high, 11" long and 8 1/2" wide. Weighs 306 grams.
The bowl is in excellent condition with no noted flaws.
