Fine Green EZ Line by Berkshire Junction
EZ Line is a one of a kind elastic polymer with 700% stretch. EZ Line is unbeatable for simulating telephone and electric lines, all suspended wires, ropes, fences, etc. The elastic polymer will stretch when bumped and instantly go back to its original shape. We, at Showcase Miniatures, carry EZ line in all colors. For power lines: When we look up outside, power lines appear to be dark colored, so you would think black would be a good color for your layout, but when you look down (as we do on our layout), black just disappears, so most layouts look good with either the fine white or the fine green (with white being a little more visible) for N and HO scales, as the dark colors are just not visible against a dark layout.
EZ Line Options
Choose from Two Sizes:
Fine - .010" (0.25mm) diameter
Recommended for N and HO model railroad scales for Phone Lines, Small Ship Rigging, Airplane Models, Crane Cables, etc. This size works well for other models from 1/350 - 1/87 scale.
Heavy - .020" (0.5mm) in diameter
Recommended for S and O scale, HO Trunk Lines or High Tension Lines, Guard Rail Lines, Simulated Model Truck Hoses, Tie Down Load Straps or Simulated Crane Cables & Ship Rigging. Recommended for other scale models from 1/64 - 1/10 scale.
In some HO and S scale layouts, a mixture of large and small diameters looks best, for example, simulating both telephone cables and electric wires on a pole. For other scale models, such as model planes and ships, our recommendations are based on what our customers have told us worked for them.
Choose from Six Colors in either fine or heavy diameter- Sold in 100 foot spools:
- White
- Rust (great for barbed wire)
- Green (old copper)
- Rope (tan)
- New! French Blue (great for airplane models)
- Black (shows up better against a light background)*
- * The black color in fine size does not show up well (actually, it can almost disappear) against a dark background such as ground cover, trees, or towns.
Many customers choose the green (which has just a hint of color) or the white which shows up more.
