Please Read the Entire Listing Before You Place an Order, as Some Very Important Information Seems To Be Getting Lost in the Excitement of It All!

To try to reach as many potential buyers as possible, I am spreading my listings around the in the 'Doll' category, so they are no longer all in the 'Contemporary Barbie' subcategory.  To see everything, please view all my listings in my store.  Also, please book mark my store, as I have lots of looks to list, and they will not be listed all in one go. I have really enjoyed looking for papers with the right scale and I think there is something for everyone to love!

Description:

The standard diorama / room unit walls are all 14" tall, the back wall is 18" wide, and the two side walls are 12" deep. The completed wall unit is made of three pieces of book binders board, which is about 1/8" thick, pH neutral, acid free, durable, dense and heavy. The 12" depth is a good size to work on many collector's shelves, and the 18" width is enough to allow some furniture to be added to set up your scene or display. The two side walls are hinged to the back wall, and can fold back over each other, so the whole room can be folded flat to maximize storage.  If you purchase this room, please understand that what you are purchasing is this three paneled wall unit, covered in the paper of your choice, chosen from the options in the photos.  Nothing else that may appear in the photos is included; floors can be purchased separately, and the dolls, furniture, art work, etc. are pictured to help you imagine your room and to give you an idea of what a completed room might look like, what the scale is, etc. but they are not for sale. You can use the rooms without my floors, but the floors help keep the walls in the correct position, and finish the room nicely.  You can fasten it all together for a 'room box' with packing tape, if you prefer.

The papers I have chosen are mainly wallpaper (WP), wallpaper borders (WPB), scrap book papers (SB), vinyl resurfacing material (V), and fine art (FA) papers, indicated with the top pattern listed first / bottom pattern listed after it.  I am very excited about the options I can give you, so please grab a refreshing beverage and take your time to check them all out.  By design, wallpaper and borders are easy to match and come in larger sizes as a raw material, so you room will probably not need to have seams, but if it does, they can be matched. Wallpapers with a sheen or shimmer are called 'silk' or 'satin', but are actually vinyl - none of the options are made of real (expensive and hard to work with) silk. Scrapbooking papers have some real limitations, but they are offered in such great patterns I feel they are a valuable addition to your choices, even with their drawbacks, which are size and pattern 'repeat'.  With a size of 12" x 12" for standard scrap book paper, for a room with a back wall that is 18", there will need to be a seam on the back wall, 6" from one corner or the other. These papers are not printed with the intention that they will be 'matched', so if you choose a scrapbook paper option, please understand that I will do my best to match up the patterns to be as unobtrusive as it is possible for it to be, but it may still be visible to the careful looker. However, once you have added your dolls, furniture, pictures, windows, curtains, etc. you may be able to hide the seam or at least, your viewer's attention will not be drawn to it.  For the height, the two extra inches also need to be filled, but the sample wall elevations show my solutions to that.

The last two photos in the listing shows a finished room, option #3 with floor #11 from the "Fabulous Faux Stone, Brick and Tile Floor" listing. Sadly, this option is no longer available, but I am looking for something similar. I have left it so you can see how the room looks with some furniture. The doll, furniture and accessories shown in the photos are not included in the listing, and are shown only to give you an idea of the scale.

In these photos of your wall covering choices, each numbered choice, or wall elevation sample, is 14" tall x 6" wide; you should get an accurate idea of the scale and proportion of the patterns in the papers, which makes it easier to imagine what the finished room would look like.  If you place an order for any of these rooms, please remember to let me know which pattern number you want.  Some of the papers I have chosen for samples have since been discontinued, but I do have limited stock in hand.  If the paper you want is discontinued (DSC), you might not want to wait too long to place an order.  Also, FYI, the number of rooms shown as 'available' in the listing count is 20, a nice round number chosen so I don't have to keep re-listing the same room, but it does not mean that I have the materials to make 20 of each of the options listed - there are a few choices where I only have enough paper to make one or two rooms.

The options for the Neo-Classical Rooms are:

#1   WPB/FA   -  Ornate pattern of medallions, urns and swags in blue over cream paper
#2   FA/WPB   -  Cream paper over a silk border of urns and swags
#3       This option is no longer available. The border has been discontinued.
#4   SB/WPB   -  Blue stripes over a panel border with musicians, urns and lovely colors
#5   SB/WPB   -  Brown and tan stripes over the previous border in teal, beige and copper
#6   SB/WPB   -  Thin black stripes on cream over a beautiful panel border

Information on the Time to Make Your Room Wall Unit:
If I sound bossy in the paragraphs that follow, I apologize, but I am trying to make the terms as clear as possible, in order to avoid misunderstandings that can upset us both. I do not stock pre-made rooms, as I do not want to commit time, materials or storage space to a purchase that may not be made.  After you buy your room, I will make it, but probably not instantly.  I am a single mom with two great little girls, and a full time job, so you will need to allow fifteen (15) business days for me to make and post your order.  The time the room takes to get to you in the mail is not included in these 15 days.  If you place an order, you are indicating that you understand and agree to this waiting time.  If you need it for a certain date for a doll show or something, and it could be close, please let me know, and I will do my best to get it to you in time.  Also, since each room is made to order, there are no returns.
I do not smoke, but I do have a cat, who occasionally likes to 'help' me work by walking around on my big work table, so please be advised of this if allergies are an issue.

Information on Communication:
I don't usually send out emails saying I got your order, I am working on your order, etc.  I will enter the tracking number in ebay's system when I mail your room, and ebay will send you a message stating that your package has been mailed.  If you are due a shipping refund for combined shipping over payment, you will get it after your package has been mailed, so you get the correct refund, providing it is a dollar or more. If you have any questions about your order after it is placed, please contact me, and I will get back to you within a day, or two days if it is a weekend.

Information on Shipping:
I am happy to combine USPS Priority shipping,  Since these listings are 'buy it now' with instant payment required, if you are buying more than one item, I will refund shipping over payments via paypal when the order has shipped.  Three room wall units and three floors will fit in one of the special mailers I buy to post the rooms in, so if you think you might want more rooms in the near future, you might consider buying them at the same time so they can ship together, as the cost to ship two rooms is never double that of one room, and three doesn't cost triple - the cost per room is much less when you can combine shipping.  A $3.50 materials and handling fee is included with each order to cover the cost of these custom purchased mailers, tape, fees, etc.  If you are an international buyer, I will send your package via United States Postal Service Priority Mail International, so that there is tracking.

Information on Feedback:
I used to leave feedback as soon as I sent the room, but I have found that many people don't bother to leave feedback for me if I have already left it for them, as I have very few "Seller" feedbacks to show for the many rooms I have made and sent.  So now, I will leave feedback for you after you have left it for me.  If you have any questions or issues with your room, please email me. Ebay is getting more and more particular about feedback, so sellers who have less than 5 star ratings appear lower in the search results, and if sellers get too many feedback dings they can't sell at all. If you begrudge me the 15 business days I ask to have to make your room and get it in the mail, because you just can't wait to get it, and then leave me poor feedback because of that to teach me a lesson, consider the wait you and others with your interests and hobbies will have if I can't sell here any longer.

Available Upgrades and Other Offerings:

The following options are available (or soon will be) as listings on their own in my store, and allow you to combine or alter the standard room you have purchased already.

Wonderful Flooring Options to Finish Your Room ($11.99):
There are three different listings for floor choices: Wonderful 'Wood' Floors, Marvelous 'Marble' Floors, and Versatile 'Stone, Masonry, and Tile' Floors.  These listings have an option for not only the 18" x 12" floor, but a splayed floor that is longer in front than in back, so it is almost 12" on the sides, 18" in the back, and 24" in the front, to expand the room a bit for photos or furniture.

Choose a Second Room for the Reverse Side of Your Previously Purchased Diorama ($28.99):  If you want two rooms, and are certain you will not need to use them at the same time, this is a good option, as it will save you storage space and money.  Usually, the back of the rooms are left with the plain book board showing.  This option allows me to customize the back of the wall unit you have bought, with another wall covering combination of your choice. If you are interested in this option, please buy the first room, then buy this listing, and don't forget to send a message telling me the Room Look and number choice you want for the back of your first room.

Enlarge Your Previously Purchased Room to 14" Tall x 21" Wide x 14" Deep ($22.99): You would use this to make a room you have already bought larger, to the measurements listed, so the back wall is 21" long, instead of 18" and the side walls are 14" deep instead of 12" deep.

Super Size Your Previously Purchased Room to 18" Tall x 24" Wide x 16" Deep ($34.99):  You would use this to make a room you have purchased larger, from 14" tall to 18" tall, 24" wide across the back instead of 18", and 16" deep instead of 12" deep.

"You - Decorate - It" Diorama Room ($39.99):  If you want to try your hand at decorating a room, but would rather start with a ready made framework, this unfinished three wall room unit and floor is for you.  I do not sell any papers to be put on the walls, though, so you will have the fun of finding the perfect paper for your project.

Custom Orders:  I am happy to do custom work, so if you want a room in a special size or different paper, etc. I will be very happy to work with you.  The size of what I can make is limited to the size the raw materials come in and the size of the mailers I can buy to mail them in, so I can make things quite large, but I can't make them huge.  For example, I made some American Girl doll rooms for local folks, and think I could do a brisk business in rooms for American Girl dolls on ebay, but I can't find mailers large enough to fit a 24+"  by  24+" room.  Among the special orders I have done for doll collectors are a Victorian church, an elegant ballroom, and a lovely French Victorian boutique. I have made a three story 'Tudor' dollhouse for my daughter's Barbie dolls, and a three story Harrod's department store for them to shop in - each a very fun project, and I am really proud of both.

Future Offerings:

At some point in the future, I hope to have some one of a kind rooms listed as auctions, made from discontinued papers I have in only small amounts.  I will also add some listings for a trio of "built-in" kitchen counters and an island sized to complement Re-Ment kitchens, Sindy E-Line kitchens and Modern Comfort kitchens, fireplace options, windows that you can customize, a dais, dressing screens and artwork.  If I have listed anything here you are interested in, please let me know your needs, and that should motivate me to get to work on that item. Thanks for looking at this listing and reading it all the way down to here - I know it is a long read!

Please look at my other listings for wonderful Re-Ment miniatures, too!
