This hard drive cable works with all Toshiba hard drives used in the iPod Photo models including the 20gb MK2006GAL, 30gb MK3006GAL, 40gb MK4006GAH, and 60gb MK6006GAH. This cable connects the hard drive to the logic board.

This cable can fix issues related to a hard drive that does not spin-up or a device that shows the sad face or folder icon because of failed communication with the hard drive via this cable. If you have the sad face or folder icon and can hear the hard drive clicking, chances are the hard drive itself needs to be replaced.
