This filter can be used as part of a UV filter stack for UV photography on a full spectrum camera (be sure you do not buy a full spectrum camera with an AR coated filter as it will reflect some UV). As is typical of UV-pass filters, this filter does have a significant amount of IR ‘leak’ in the 700nm+ band range. You will need an IR suppression filter such as Schott BG38, BG39, BG40, or S8612 (your best choice but unfortunately discontinued) added to your filter stack for pure UV imaging.
I admit I re-purposed and relabeled 40.5mm filter rings for this offering to economize both of our costs. This filter ring size is common to some Nikkor EL lenses which are known to pass UV well.
