there are at least 25 tail feathers - plus a few more, Length of the feathers varies between 10cm - 16cm / small.medium \ . feathers are all hand-dyed at home
I sort every feather to ensure that it is of the best quality. Feathers too short or damaged are removed and only the best quality feathers make the dyeing process
All feathers are washed and conditioned after dying,, just like your hair so are clean and soft you can rewash the feathers and dry then in front of a fan whilst shaking them to fluff them out more
Emu feathers are unique in that they have 2 feathers coming out of
the the stem. So you are actually getting a lot more feathers if you separate the doubles .
Emu feathers have the most beautiful plume and are perfect to help complete a fascinator or hat. Also great for many other craft activities.
