These parts are not for your everyday, run-of-the-mill project. These are for the best of the best, heirloom-quality builds.

This is a set of 4 surface-mount box/panel corners, custom laser-engraved and cut from 1/8" solid genuine mahogany hardwood panels. Into each one is set a genuine U. S. "Mercury" silver dime, a classic piece of vintage US coinage that was minted between 1916 and 1945. These are the dimes that were in circulation during the U. S. Great Depression, when the phrase "Brother, can you spare a dime" was coined.

These dimes saw the U. S. through World War I, the Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression, the Roosevelt New Deal years, and World War II. These are real, circulated coins that show their age and the wear of being passed through uncounted thousands of hands over the decades. They are living pieces of American History, and now they have a new life as a beautiful, decorative feature on your next special cigar box guitar or other woodworking project.

Dates on the coins vary from 1917 through the 1940's. Each set of 4 corners will not contain matching dates. They are presented in these pieces for their decorative value, not for their numismatic/collectible value. each dime contains approximately .07234 ounces of pure silver.

Please note: We do not overly polish or buff the coins that we mount into these pieces, prefering to leave them in their natural state of coloration and patina from years of circulation. If you prefer a shinier finish, you can always use some extra-fine steel wool to buff them up a bit.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE READ... We ship packages via the U. S. Postal Service, either First Class Mail International or Priority Mail International. While these services generally get packages anywhere in the world in 1 to 2 weeks, sometimes it can take longer - this is almost always because the Customs Office in your country delays the package. In some cases it has taken up to 4 weeks for a package to be delivered. We will not consider an item as "lost" until at least 30 days have passed from the time of shipment. Also, you may be responsible for local customs duties and taxes depending on your country's laws. We mark package values honestly, as required by the laws of the United States, so please don't ask us to declare a false value, or declare a package as a gift. If you are an international buyer, please be aware of these realities BEFORE buying.

Recycled Materials... We use recycled cardboard as packaging materials whenever possible. Those of you who care about the environment can appreciate the value of this, and everyone can appreciate the fact that it helps keep our prices lower since we don't have to buy new cardboard for packaging. This may mean that our packaging materials occasionally show some shipping scuffs, labels, printing or other markings, but used cardboard does the job just fine. Hopefully you will find a way to recycle it on your end too!
