These blanks are all rough sawn to 50mm (2") square and are available in the following lengths:
200mm (approximately 8")
300mm (approximately 12")
400mm (approximately 15 3/4")
600mm (approximately 23 3/4")
800mm (approximately 31 1/2")
1000mm (approximately 39 1/4")
All blanks are cut to the metric measurements, hence the imperial measurements are a rough guide only.
General Description:
Tilia vulgaris. Found throughout mainland Europe and the UK. Cream-yellow maturing to yellow-brown/pale brown with a natural lustre. The grain is straight and the texture fine and uniform. The timber typically weighs around 540kg/m3.
Uses :
Lime works easily and readily with hand tools making it the natural choice for wood carving. The timber has the ability to resist splitting in any cutting direction. It also glues well and can be brought to a good finish by staining and all finishing processes.

The delivery shown is for mainland UK delivery (England, Wales and Scotland excluding highlands). Payment should be via PayPal or cash on collection.
