I also list Kirby's new stiffer Oblique Angled Brush Roll for these models, it can be found in my store's Brush Roll, Belts and Nozzle Parts Category.  The oblique angled brush roll was introduced in 2005 and was standard on most Diamond Editions and Sentrias.

If your Kirby is not picking up the way it should, and the bag is not over-filled, a bad belt and/or a worn brush roll are usually at fault.

Brush rolls to clean properly must have enough bristle left to extend about 1/8 inch below the rug plate. Adjustment is achieved by rotating the end caps. There are hash marks on each end cap. When the bristles are new rotate the end caps so that a single hash mark is facing out when the brush roll is in the nozzle. As it becomes worn, rotate the end caps to two hash marks, then three.(see photo) If you have adjusted your brush roll to three and do not have 1/8 inch of bristle beyond rug plate you need a new brush roll.

This Brush Roll has the magnet to operate the sensor light, and sealed ball bearings behind the end caps. The bearings are maintenance free, but on rare occasions thread or hair will get behind the end caps and wrap around the bearing, the end caps can be pulled off the bearing for removal of thread and hair. You should only do one end at a time to avoid mixing the end caps, as each end cap must go back on the bearing it was removed from.

To keep the weight down on this part I package it in a strong Dupont Tyvek envelope of a cardboard tube. The default shipping option is First Class, if your need if faster you may select Priority. Because the weight of this part is at the First Class limit any additional purchase will require Priority shipping, you may wish to request an invoice after making those additional purchases.  Parts Number: 152502

Special note to international buyers: USPS rates went way up for first class parcels.  For this reason it is important to use a cart to make all purchases. Weights from 1 to 8 US ounces pay the same cost, and from 9 to 32 ounces pay the same. You can purchase a brush roll and a 6 pack of bags for the same shipping as either one alone.  It only makes sense to get all your Kirby Needs in one larger package.
