This is the original 1st US Stereo Pressing from 1959 - NOT A RE ISSUE. Very Rare. The label is the original black Mercury Records with black background & silver lettering. STEREO all caps printed on top of vinyl sticker. Great condition.

*Because our clients are mostly jazz collectors and connoisseurs, as we are, we made it our policy to only sell vinyl that we grade in VERY GOOD (VG) condition or better. This vinyl is in our opinion is a VG+, looks and plays great.

Record Grade VG+ = Very well maintained. Just listened to both sides of the whole album and it plays beautiful. It is from our personal collection and we only played it a few times. Difficult to find this rare vintage recording in such nice condition. (see pictures) 

Jacket Grade VG+ = Well maintained. We kept it on shelf in plastic cover. No tape, No seem splits. Small scripted handwriting on back cover reads "Lil Bros. 1/27/61 $2.77 .11 TAX $2.88". See pics. Comes with the original Mercury Records inner paper sleeve. A very clean jacket for a 57 year old album. One of our nicest covers. (See Pictures)

Dinah Washington (born Ruth Lee Jones; August 29, 1924 - December 14, 1963), was an American singer and pianist, who has been cited as "one of the the most popular female recording artist of the '50s". Primarily a jazz vocalist, she performed and recorded in a wide variety of styles including blues, R&B, and traditional pop music, and gave herself the title of "Queen of the Blues". She was a 1986 inductee of the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
