This is a wonderful souvenir spoon with a relief of the state capitol building in Albany N.Y. On the handle of this spoon is a gorgeous relief of the New York coat of arms, reading Excelsior and showing Lady Liberty as well as Lady Justice. On the reverse is a relief of the United States seal, reading E Pluribus Unum as well as a relief of lady Justice on the handle. The back of the bowl is engraved Albany Oct. 8, ’07. It is clearly stamped sterling with a maker’s mark S with a circle around it for Shepard Manufacturing Co. This spoon measures 5.5” and weighs a total of 20.8 grams.
