What is Kojic Acid?

Kojic Acid is a tyrosinase enzyme inhibitor that reduces the skin's ability to produce and synthesise melanin. Melanin is what determines the colour pigmentation of the skin. This is why the Kojic Acid can make the area of skin whiter by preventing the synthesis of melanin. By stopping the production of melanin, kojic acid can reverse excessive darkening of the skin.

What is Kojic Acid used for?

Kojic acid is used in skin-whitening creams used to diminish dark areas resulting from excessive pigmentation in the skin. Kojic acid may help diminish or eliminate sun freckles, melasma or other pigmentation when used correctly.

How can I use Kojic Acid powder?

The easiest way to use our kojic acid is to mix it with a lotion like Nivea or some other brand.

Simply add the powder and stir in.

We recommended amount to use is 3% so weigh your lotion and then divide the weight by 100 and then multiply by 3 and that is how much powder to use.

Example:

50g of lotion divided by 100 equals 0.5.

0.5 times 3 equals 1.5.

So you simply add 1.5g of Kojic Acid to 50g of lotion you’ll have the correct strength.

We do not ship on weekends so any orders placed after 12:30pm on Friday or at any time on a Saturday or Sunday will not be sent until Monday and arrive on Tuesday.

Non Domestic

Deliveries to Europe and EEA and rest of world if available ship same working day and take 3-7 days. All non-domestic deliveries are sent tracked
