This large and impressive, Chelsea House framed painting, is in excellent condition.
The colors are vibrant and true. The frame is in fabulous condition.
The back is beautifully finished with black cloth and raised brass tacks. Hanging hardware in is great shape.

Colors incorporated are, browns, reds, whites, greens, yellows.
The painting has a nice gloss finish which really brings out the colors and makes the painting come alive.

The detail is amazing you can almost smell the perfume. This still life has a wonderful freshness about it. The composition is of a traditional style, with flowers painted against a dark background. The mature peonies, hydrangeas in a basket, and lilacs spill over and outward from the geraniums at the rear.

"Spring Flowers" is a hand painted in oil, on canvas by Henry Bacon, after the original by Oscar Claude Monet, 1864.

The original hangs in the Cleveland Museum of Art. The painting is self framed and measures 38" tall by 32" wide.
