Polished see-through beads are far more common in amber bracelets but it is a trade secret known only to amber experts that to get the polished see-through effect, the amber goes through a chemical cooking process where it loses some of its natural oils.

Yes, our necklaces and bracelets are specially made for children in a very safe and traditional way. There are no metallic threads or clasps. Each bead is individually hand-knotted so that even in the extremely unlikely event of the string being torn only one bead is released.

How often should my child wear the amber?
As often as possible. We advise to have your child wear the amber under parental supervision where they can be corrected if they pull on the thread or chew on the amber. The oils released by the amber accumulate in the body and the more often the amber is worn the more oil is absorbed by the body.

How do I put the necklace and bracelet on?
The necklaces and bracelets each have plastic clasps that match the colour of their amber. One end of the clasp screws into the other.

What about wearing during bath time or when swimming?
Yes, you can wear your amber in the water. The thread can weaken and stretch with prolonged exposure to water, but the amber beads themselves are not affected by water.

Should I start my child with a necklace or a bracelet?
The only difference between our amber bracelets and necklaces is that there is more amber in a necklace and so it is more effective, and to have a necklace and a bracelet is even better. The more amber that is worn next to the skin, the greater the benefits, as the natural oils accumulate quicker in the body.
