this when it was released in year 2000 was the lightest weight 26.5 ghz spectrum analyzer in the world. now the lightest weight is the newer version that goes to 32 ghz and i have one of those for sale but its 9,000$.
I have two more of these that are maxed with options such as narrow res bw 26(100 hz, 300 hz rbw) , super stable timebase 20 , tracking gen 74, and demodulator am/fm tv video 72
this one is an extra 500$, the one listed in this auction is described below and only has cdma option:
comes with brand new partial cal Nist traceable calibration cert/sticker.other than one amplitude issue this thing performs like a champ and ships with battery and charger for it, its a dionic 90 or anton bauer propac , batteries are easy to find, they are used universally in professional video cameras. batteries last 2 hours .charger has two ports , the battery has been on for 2 hours now and its still running , they are rated at 2 hours depending on age and battery capacity. manual rates it at 1 hour but I think that may be due to the older lower capacity batteries back in year 2000. The batteries Included are newer I guess because they last twice as long.
so heres the low down, the high band is about 4 db higher than the low band, but there is an easy menu function to toggle between the cal offsets on/off so basically with it on the low band is perfectly accurate and within spec up to 2.9 ghz, and with it off the high band is within spec just barely. but with it on, high band is about 1-4 db higher than what it should be depending on the frequency. spec I believe is 3.5 db so it just barely fails that part of the flatness cal therefore we are giving it a partial cal because everything else is within cal spec.
this has a tracking generator that says 2.2 ghz on the front panel yet oddly seems to work fine to about 2.7 ghz as shown in the pics. ( can run on battery, line or dc adapter)
only weighs around 20 lbs or so with battery and 15 lbs without it. its super small, and really easy to use. the color lcd is clear and easy to use. this is from year 2000 time era.
9 khz to 26.5 ghz freq range full span sweep .it has an sytf in it .
it has trace hold, averaging, ,cdma option ,etc...
frequency is stable , datasheets found online. also user manual is online free to download pdf form
noise floor is super stable and signal is clean like new, also this has 2 nice options. cdma firmware and tg
lcd has no dead pixels.
cdma Allows channel power, ACP, OBW, and spurious emission (in-band) measurement
Variety of measurement functions 20-dB gain preamplifier, 1-Hz resolution counter, occupied frequency bandwidth, adjacent-channel leakage power, and audio monitoring
this comes with a 30 day right of return.
