Cryptocoryne Wendtii 'Tropica' - emersed or submerged

Cryptocoryne Wendtii 'Tropica' is recommended for beginners due to its ease in keeping and low care requirements. It can be grown in low light with or without CO2 fertilization. As with other Cryptocoryne, the colour and shape of the leaves depend largely on the environmental conditions in the aquarium. Cryptocoryne Tropica will display long, green, orange, bronze crinkled leaves when grown submerged. They have  a slightly crinkled texture. They are also somewhat translucent, which gives them a shiny appearance when they are in submerged form. When plant has plety of space around, the leaves will virtually lie on the bottom - with its leaves from 10-15 cm. As with all Cryptocoryne it likes fertile substrate. That's why it is recommended to place root tabs under the plants.

What cause and understanding of „Cryptocoryne melt”:
All Cryptocoryne can be sensitive to changes in water parameters. It is normal for the plant to undergo “crypt melt” when introduced to a new tank, or if water conditions change too much (like lighting intensity, pH, gh, kh, Irregular water change, poor water quality, changing location of the plant, temperature, fertilizer dosing).  Established plants can suffer from melting as well. In that case we advise to prune the leaves as they melt. This will help plant focus more on producing new leaves rather than struggling to keep the old ones. Do not worry if it will happen. Your plant will begin to grow back within a month or sooner depending on the conditions.

Worms, snails & pets free. The picture is only illustrative, and the real plant may vary in colour and size, especially in the winter, because the plants grow more slowly, although we try to provide the largest sometimes it is independent of us. The colour depends on the fertilizers in which they are served. Plants will take their natural look in the aquarium. You will receive plants looking similar like on the photo (without pot, cup).

The size of the plant shows how big it can grow in the aquarium. That gives information to the buyers where to position plant in the aquarium. Plants which you will receives come from greenhouses or laboratory(in vitro) and some of them might be smaller or bigger than the final sizes shown on the listing. Don't be surprised that sometimes plants might not have roots or roots will be minimal. After planting in the aquarium, the plant will grow new roots within a few days.
