THIS LISTING IS FOR AN ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER SOUVENIR SPOON WITH ELABORATELY EMBOSSED DECORATION AND "PHILADELPHIA"

THE FRONT IS DECORATION OF AN EMBOSSED LIBERTY BELL WITH "RING IT AGAIN" ABOVE, A U.S. SEAL WITH A SPREAD WING EAGLE BELOW, A BANNER READING "SESQUICENTENNIAL INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION" AND "PHILADELPHIA" EMBOSSED ON THE STEM.

THE BOWL OF THE SPOON IS ENGRAVED "150 YEARS AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE" ABOVE A CAPITOL BUILDING WITH TWO PORTRAIT MEDALLIONS OF "WASHINGTON" AND "COOLIDGE" BELOW.

THE BACK OF THE SPOON IS EMBOSSED WITH A GROUP OF MEN WATCHING OUR FOREFATHERS SIGN THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE, A SEAL WITH THE "BALANCE OF JUSTICE" WITH ENGRAVED SIGNATURE IN SCRIPT AND "OFFICIAL SOUVENIR" BELOW.

THIS NICE SPOON IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO NOTED DAMAGE.

MEASURES 5 3/4" LONG. WEIGHS 20 GRAMS.

MARKED ON REVERSE WITH MAKER'S TRADEMARK STAMP FOR CHARLES M ROBBINS AND "STERLING". COMPANY WAS ESTABLISHED IN ATTLEBORO MA IN 1892 AND WAS PREDOMINATELY KNOWN FOR MANUFACTURING SOUVENIR SPOONS.
