Cryptocoryne Beckettii - emersed
Cryptocoryne Beckettii is recommended for beginners due to its ease in keeping and low care requirements. Like many other Cryptocoryne, the leaf colour and shape depends largely on environmental conditions in the aquarium. In submerged form leaves can have different shades of green and brown. Different coloration within the same plant is common. As with all Cryptocoryne it likes fertile substrate. That's why it is recommended to place root tabs under the plants.

What cause and understanding of „Cryptocoryne melt”:
All Cryptocoryne can be sensitive to changes in water parameters. It is normal for the plant to undergo “crypt melt” when introduced to a new tank, or if water conditions change too much (like lighting intensity, pH, gh, kh, Irregular water change, poor water quality, changing location of the plant, temperature, fertilizer dosing). Established plants can suffer from melting as well. In that case we advise to prune the leaves as they melt. This will help plant focus more on producing new leaves rather than struggling to keep the old ones. Do not worry if it will happen. Your plant will begin to grow back within a month or sooner depending on the conditions.
Worms, snails & pets free.
