Shipping:
We use UPS overnight service for all live fish orders. Shipments are sent directly to your door unless you request to have it "held for pickup" at the nearest UPS store. All orders received before 3pm are typically shipped the day of or the following business day. We ship live fish orders Tuesday to Thursday (closed for business on Mondays). If your order is received Thursday late afternoon to Monday, it will be shipped on Tuesday.
We only ship live fish if weather permits. If there is any bad weather in your area or at one of the UPS shipment routing centers, we will have to delay the shipment until it is safe to ship out. This is to ensure the well-being and health of the fish.
The fish are well packed and will have everything included free of charge to ensure its safety and health during the shipment transit.

Pet Zone Tropical Fish is a family-run tropical fish store based in San Diego. We have been serving the local community, online and on eBay for quite some years now and pass along our passion to fellow fish keeping hobbyist. Our family has been raising all sorts of freshwater fish our entire lives.
We hand-select each and every tropical fish you see in our store and ensure that only the best is stocked! We source out many rare and hard to find exotic tropical fish so you'll always see a good selection of fish such as Arowanas, Plecos, Discus, Cichlids, etc. Looking for a particular fish you can''t find? Live Arrival Guarantee Policy:
Buyers that receive live fish that are Dead On Arrival(DOA) when shipped Overnight will need to take a picture immediately after receiving shipment and will need to prove it by cutting either the body in half or the tail off and right next to the package it was sent it. Pictures must be sent immediately via email or through eBay messaging.
If this is not done, you WILL NOT RECEIVE get any consideration for a refund, exchange or store credit.
The fish must not exhibit any signs of physical trauma, such as torn fins, scratches or other wounds.
Your tank must be in good condition and your water quality must meet our standards here at Pet Zone. The fish must also be acclimated correctly to your fish tank. After arrival, we have a 24 hour guarantee as long as the water quality conditions are met and the fish shows no sign of trauma from attack or misconduct.
We are not responsible for any delays or weather that causes late shipments as they are out of our control and in the hands of the shipping company. We have no control over this, if any fish is dead due to a delay or late shipment with shipment, we are not responsible and absolutely no refund, store credit or exchange will be given. You must be there to receive your live fish during delivery and immediately acclimate them.
An exchange or store credit may only be given to the DOA fish. Shipping costs will not be refunded under any circumstance. If an exchange of another fish of equal value is preferred, the buyer will be responsible for shipping costs of that fish. The buyer is also responsible for the shipping costs of fish and/or products that are returned for exchange back to our store.
Buyer is responsible for knowing the local laws of their country/state/city/etc., as we are not responsible for shipping prohibited products or fish, which may be subject to confiscation from customs. Absolutely no refund will be given in these situations.
