Thunderplugs
were devised in Amsterdam by musicians Quinten Huigen and Koen Brouwer
for their company Safe Ears. The creative impetus for hearing protection
was necessity; by the time he was just 15-years-old, Quinten had
developed tinnitus from years of live, loud and aurally unguarded
performance. Thunderplugs filter sound. They ensure you still hear the
music properly, but protect your ears against damage when you wear them.
In
Quinten’s case, the damage is already done. For others, Thunderplugs
can prevent it. The patented Thunderplugs design fits well into ears,
without sticking dangerously out of them like some other earplugs do.
The addition of a small finger tag in each earplug enables easy removal.
It’s precisely this attention to detail and innovation which was
acknowledged by the judges who chose Thunderplugs as winners of the
Student Entrepreneur Award 2013 in The Netherlands. In recognition of
the international potential of Thunderplugs, the judges also presented
Safe Ears with a financial award for use in overseas development. Dance
music and live music are huge in Holland so, naturally, the initial
focus for Thunderplugs was there.
Thunderplugs are tested against and certified by both ANSI S3.19-1974 American standards and European EN-352-2 standards.

Earplugs
fall within the scope of the exception in the Distance Selling
Regulations which allows retailers NOT to accept returns of items which
cannot be restored to the same physical state as that in which they were
supplied. If you have purchased earplugs and have tried them they
cannot be re-sold, having been in your ears and possibly contaminated.

in total value (including postage cost) to problem destinations using
standard untracked airmail. If your items total more than £25.00 please
arrange to pay for tracked and signed shipping so that your order may be
shipped safely and securely. If the tracked shipping option is not
offered in the listing, please use the following listing to pay the

Please
also note that orders sent to Italy and Russia may take MUCH longer
than eBay's estimate to be delivered and, whilst some orders do arrive
within a week or two, many orders sent to these countries are not
delivered for three or perhaps even four weeks! This is entirely outside
our control, as we ship within one working day and once your order is
in the hands of your country's Postal service, there is nothing we can
do to get it to you any faster.
Please DO NOT send
messages with the title "Item not received" as these open complaint
cases against us and damage our seller rating! Instead please use the
general "Other" heading to ask about your delivery if several weeks have
passed.
Lastly, please note that when eBay asks you "Did the
item arrive on or before" their estimated delivery date, it also damages
our seller rating if you answer "No", so bear in mind that we always
ship within two working days, so if you answer "No" because your local
postal service (especially in Italy!) has taken weeks to deliver, you
are punishing us, not them!
