Grading Information:
BB/BB Grade: BB grade boards are acceptable for clear finishing and furniture, both faces of the board are Grade BB which allows few patches and knots or imperfections. Suitable for all general work including CNC Machining.
BB/CP Grade: BB/CP grade boards can be used for clear finishing and furniture where only 1 face of the board is important. 1 face of the board is BB grade & the other face is CP grade. CP grade allows more patches and knots or imperfections. Suitable also for most general work including CNC Machining.
High Grade 9mm Birch Plywood sheets are known to have incredible strength and durability, being constructed from high quality solid and face birch veneers. On top of this, the sanding process provides a smooth finish on both sides of the board. With these qualities in mind, Birch Plywood performs best in applications demanding high strength and rigidity, making it a perfect choice for furnishing and joinery work. Birch Plywood is also known for its clean, bright appearance, making it not only a good practical choice, but an aesthetic one too.
Birch Plywood Grading Information:
BB/BB Grade: BB Grade boards are the smoother form of Plywood, they are graded to allow fewer patches, knots and imperfections, this makes them appropriate for furniture work on both sides. These board are suitable for all general work, including CNC Machining.
BB/CP Grade: BB/CP Grade boards differ from the BB Grade in the fact that they allow for more patches, knots and imperfections, due to the fact that one side of the board is the smoother BB Grade, while the other is CP Grade. This means that this type of board is more suitable for furniture in a project where one side of the board is of importance, prioritising the BB Grade side for the outward facing side of a project. Suitable also for most general work including CNC Machining.

Birch high grade panels are sanded on both sides and their surface is smooth, hard and durable. Birch plywood is characterized by excellent strength and rigidity-related properties, so therefore it performs best in applications demanding high strength and rigidity. Russian birch plywood is also known as Baltic Birch plywood.
Birch throughout Plywood is constructed using solid birch veneers and then overlaid with a quality birch face veneer on either side. It is widely used in joinery and furniture making as it has a clean, bright appearance which is aesthetically pleasing. As it is birch and has a construction of the board it is very strong but also light and easily machined. It has a BB graded face meaning it is clear of defects and may have very small knots ,hence its use for furniture and joinery applications.
