Our leaves are industrial standard size.  Important side note: The size of other leaves that you can find on the internet are so much smaller.  See picture above. (their size is 1 3/4" x 1 3/4")

Transfer (Patent) gold leaf: These leaves are pressed onto a paper. Then the paper can be handled by hand and the leaf can be lightly pressed onto which ever surface desired, and the back paper can be removed. Similar to a sticker. These come in booklets. Our booklets contain 25 leaves.

Gold leaf is used on and in some gourmet foods, notably sweets and drinks as decorative ingredient.

Gold was used by the nobility in Medieval Europe as a decoration in food and drinks, either to demonstrate the host's wealth or in the belief that something that valuable and rare must be beneficial for one's health.

Gold is non-toxic and non-irritating when ingested
