There is a USB charging port on the side of the Jetbeam EC-R16. This is a nice benefit as it gives the user the option of charging the device without having to replace batteries. This port is shielded from debris and wet conditions because of its convenient cover. Changing the flashlight's mode is a snap; simply by pressing the power button once, you can activate all the different modes. With a double tap, you can activate the Turbo setting; with a double tap when you are in the Turbo mode, you can move to strobe. If you push the button for a little bit longer, then you can turn it off. A power indicator exists on the side of the EC-R16, so that you can quickly see your battery's charge status. In addition, the EC-R16 can stand upright through its flat tailcap construction. There is a lanyard hole cut into the bottom as well, so you can hang it from your wrist or neck, for instance. The reflector is shaped like a parabola, so it is very effective at putting out light, which provides a distinct advantage over other flashlights, in that the EC-R16 demonstrates a great combination of far-ranging yet diffuse light. Within this flashlight, there are a few safety mechanisms that will help your EC-R16 to last longer and to be handled properly: a unique new circuit board layout, and a power management circuit that runs for 100h. Your EC-R16 comes with one EC-R16 flashlight, a user manual, two spare O-rings, and a warranty card. As you can see, the EC-R16 is a top contender for being one of the best everyday carry and tactical flashlights out there.
