This listing is for the original 1859 copy of The Good Time Coming by T. S. Arthur pictured above. This is a pretty scarce copy of an early novel by Timothy Shay Arthur.

A brief description of the book:

"To those who have never tried the experiment, the management of a husband may seem a very easy matter, but a few years of experience will soon change their minds. This is a 19th-century novel that articulates the values, beliefs and habits of middle-class life in pre-Civil War America."

The book measures about 7" by 5" and is 308 pages long. The front cover has some dried water damage on the top right corner as pictured. There are some small brown water marks throughout.
