Minirig have also redesigned their custom, extra-large 3" driver, improving sound performance to deliver stunning volume and clarity. Minirig also now offers ongoing innovation with the addition of an 'over the air' updater, controlled via the Minirig app.

Minirig engineers have now managed to increase battery life to an incredible 80 hours. Whether it's travel, festivals or a big weekender, the Minirig will last as long as you can. The powerful battery can hold its charge for months and also allows for any other USB device to be charged via the Minirig (iPhone 7 recharge approx 2.5 times).
Sound performance is central to the cult status enjoyed by the Minirig brand, and there are significant enhancements in this area. Many hours of development have enabled the design of an extra-large, custom 3" driver, increasing bass response and off-axis response. Together with a 15W amp, this unleashes an extremely powerful yet clean sound. An adaptive audio filter ensures the Minirig delivers the best sound whatever the volume.
Minirig's modular design allows you to Bluetooth connect to a second Minirig, offering true wireless stereo. You can then add a Minirig subwoofer with 30W amp (the smallest, powered portable sub in the world) to create a fully portable 2.1 system, that delivers a sound that can shake the leaves from the trees.
Another key innovation in the revamped Minirig design is the 'over the air' updating function, which, even after purchase, allows for further improvements to be made to the speaker. These may include such things as a custom EQ, or more upgrades to battery life. Minirig features the latest Bluetooth 4.0 APT-X tech and advanced connectivity options are available via the bespoke Minirig app (available for iOS and Android). The over the air updater is a welcome addition in the move towards a future-proof speaker.
The Minirig features a tough, anodised aluminium and textured polycarbonate design, plus an improved IPX5 rated water and dust resistance, making it a perfect speaker for any outdoors lifestyle, while its minimal styling mean it's equally suitable for home use. Minirig have added a brushed aluminium finish to the existing seven colour range, to ensure a look for all tastes.
