I have received more idiotic, accusatory, angry, and insulting messages about this item than I can count. If you think that just because you haven't seen this before, or because it isn't in any book, then it doesn't exist, you simply don't know about the rarest pieces. When speaking recently to one of the foremost Beatles experts in the world about this, he showed me some of his cover variations which "shouldn't" exist, including a White Album with embossed song titles covering the entire thing, and a Rubber Soul with a completely different font. There's no tape on this cover. It's easy to see in person that it isn't a homemade paint or dye job. If you feel somehow insulted that I am selling something you aren't familiar with and this challenges your notions of knowing everything about the Beatles or whatever else, please see a therapist and vent to them, not me.
OK, onward... I cannot find any information about the existence of this variation at all, nor can any of my Beatles expert friends. It is definitely not a homemade paint job or done with markers or anything like that. You can see (especially in person) that the coloring is completely uniform, extending from front cover to the spine, with no brush strokes or any variations at all, obviously done by the printing press. If it didn’t have the embossed “Beatles” and number, I’d guess it to be a boot. But, I’ve never seen any boot anywhere with that kind of expensive cover. Plus the records are easily verifiable as legit. For whatever reason, some kind of 1-off type of cover.

The records themselves are fairly marginal. Of course that really doesn’t matter, since you can easily replace them, and anyhow, you would be buying this for the cover. The cover is completely seam split, front/back separated from the inner gatefold, though the fold in the middle is fine, albeit a bit worn.
Just going on all information from anywhere on the internet that I can see, plus the information from my Beatles experts, it seems pretty likely that this will be your only chance to own this, as it’s the only copy anyone has ever heard of.

This will be sent registered mail, wherever you are in the world. Customs declaration will be made in full for shipment outside the USA, as I could go to jail for lying on that form, and some people actually do. It’s rare, but not worth the risk.
