This jumbo 18K GOLD CHRONOGRAPHE SUISSE 2-Register chronograph with flyback is in clean estate condition. The watch measures nearly 40mm across with the crown § there are no dings or dents and no personalizations. The classic Mid-Century  2-tone dial with gold numerals at 6 and 12, as well as one gold chapter and gold hands against a copper ground, is a rich looking contrast § no issues I see, maybe a little normal patina if anything. The case back is signed with a hallmark, 18K 750 914 77 and another hallmark or chopmark. Inside the case edge is also signed 77. The 17 Jewel movement is very clean and bright § either a Valjoux or Landeron. When acquired, the crown was missing and it was not running. My watchmaker put a temporary crown on the watch and said it runs, both buttons function but it has an issue - he was definite about the soundness and operation of the very clean movement - it does, however, need a longer stem in order to wind and set properly and/or there is a problem with the shifting spring. A handsome estate fresh 18K Gold chronograph, not polished in years, needing a little attention § this impressive vintage watch will clean up and detail beautifully.
