This is a cast Collector Gift coin of the Spanish Bust Peso in a 2 bits denomination. The 8 Reales (Dollar) coin was frequently halved (4 bits), quartered (2 bits) and halved again (1 bit) to make change. This 2 bit piece is counterstamped "St. Martin" an island of the Caribbean. This coin served as coinage of the island for a period. There is a short historical narrative printed on the back of the card for this coin as well. Please message with any questions!
