Up for sale is a used NAD C350 Integrated Amplifier with Audiophile upgrade. The amplifier is in excellent condition. All electrolytic capacitors on PCB board have been replaced with new ones. Idle current and DC offset have been adjusted to factory specs. Everything works as new. Sound quality is better than new.
The original NAD amplifier was great but had some imperfections as below:
1. Sound stage is not wide enough.
2. A little short on bass.
3. Less 3D sound and less involving.
This is mainly due to:
1. NAD didn't use any audio grade capacitors
2. Design decision to focus on mid and high
Following changes have been made to bring the amplifier back to its full potential.
1. Re-optimize the frequency responses by increasing the capacitance of some key capacitors.
2. All signal path capacitors have been replaced with Elna Silmic II best audio capacitors (the brown ones).
3. Rest of the power supply and bypass capacitors were replaced with Panasonic FC audio grade capacitors.
4. Other non sound quality related capacitors are replaced with high quality non audio grade ones.
The amplifier now sounds full, rich, and warm, with a wide sound stage and dynamics. It should be able to last another 20 years.
Including the amplifier only, no other accessories.
