THIS USED GENUINE HUNTER CEILING FAN  PART IS FOR THE OLDER 52" dia. HUNTER ORIGINAL CEILING FANS ONLY (heavy cast iron - oil bath type).

FITS THE OLDER 52" dia. HUNTER ORIGINALS THAT HAVE THE CAPACITOR LOCATED IN THE SWITCH HOUSING ( as opposed to up in the motor housing).

IT WILL NOT WORK IN THE NEWER ( post 2001- current) HUNTER ORIGINALS.

THIS STYLE CAPACITOR (more square shape than the new rectangular 7.5 capacitors) IS NO LONGER MADE BY HUNTER - THERE ARE ONLY USED FULLY TESTED ONES AVAILABLE.
