Capsicum baccatum
peppers are valued for their sweet fruit flavours (citrus, apple, etc.), crisp flesh, and rich and varied colours.

Flavours and heat may change (intensify) with drying or cooking. Plants are large and bushy. Some can grow over a metre tall and may need staking. Once plants start flowering, they quickly become very productive.

Seeds are harvested in 2020, 2021, and 2022 from peppers grown in black pots in our greenhouses in Edmonton, Canada. This means that all of these varieties will produce in a short season (100-120 days from transplanting in the greenhouse). Where the growing season ends around mid-September, later-produced fruit of some varieties will have to be ripened indoors. Days to maturity, yields, flavours and heat will vary with growing conditions: weather (heat), moisture, and length of season. For the best growing instructions, look for local information.

Seeds stored cool and dry may remain viable for a few years.
