Although our overall feedback is flawless, lately we've been taking some anonymous (eBay's wonderful star system) hits regarding shipping and handling. Probably from overseas and probably from those who do not read the entire listing or struggle with english. These criticisms are without any merit whatsoever since I do not charge handling fees and go to great lengths (weight scale in sync with post office) to give accurate postage. I do not control shipping costs or delivery times. If you have a concern, USE THE CONTACTS provided. In other words, be a stand-up bidder, not one who goes looking for dreamed-up flaws to criticize in secret, hiding behind the system. I will protect my reputation by blocking anyone whom I feel is doing this. If this seems unfair it is no less fair than unjustified criticism. Increased blocking seems to be the only remaining defense for a responsible seller when handling potential problem bidders. I would rather not be set up for a negative feedback left by a careless bidder. Again, thanks to those who behave responsibly. We appreciate your business.
NOTE TO OVERSEAS BIDDERS: No UPS available. Regardless of what any calculators say, eBay or otherwise, estimate in the auction overseas shipping will be USPS Priority International. Not cheap but in our and our buyers' experience worth it and reliable.If you insist on another shipping method it must be in writing and indicate that you are willing to take any increased risk and will work out any problems that might arise and will not leave negative feedback. Remember, once an item is in shipment it is yours. Shipping overseas is increasingly costly so bid accordingly. There can be no falsifying of customs forms. General Terms
Ironmaster's strives to treat others as we would like to be treated. To that end we have implemented the following:
*We leave positive feedback as soon as payment is deposited into a bank account & found to be valid. Our previous policy of never leaving negative feedback has of course been rendered moot by change in eBay policy. Ebay does provide some means of dealing with those who do not take their contractual obligations seriously. Also, other legal remedies can be employed. We will show a very low tolerance for those who leave feedback containing profanity, name-calling, or irresponsible use of the term "fraud". We routinely check bidder feedback while auction is in progress.
*We reserve the right, accompanied by reasonable explanation, to cancel any bid. Though we don't plan to do it routinely, Ironmaster's may sometines be offering an item through alternate channels and may wish to terminate an auction early. In most instances it will be our intention to allow the auction to run its course. As of this writing we can see no reason to disclose reserves.
*Winning bidder will provide working phone no., email, and current mailing address at close of auction or as soon as possible not to exceed 72 hours.
*We welcome overseas bidders. Please note that the approximate packed weight of the item will be shown and that there are shipping calculators available on the internet. This applies to US bidders as well.
*Reasonable eBayers agree that not all risk can be eliminated involving items purchased through the mail. All bidders on Ironmaster's auctions acknowledge that once an item is paid for and shipped the seller has fulfilled his contractual obligation under the auction terms. Although in transit the item is now the winning bidder's property. Hence our policy requiring insurance on all shipped items unless declined in writing/email over bidder's name. We will of course assist buyer in the rare instance where an item is lost, damaged, etc.
*Our goal is to ship within 1-2 business days of receiving valid form of pymt. Paypal pymts will be counted as valid after successful transfer to actual bank account, NOT the PayPal account. Shipper will be USPS. Overseas will be USPS Global Express Guaranteed. Delivery Insured unless other arrangements are made with the buyer acknowledging increased risk. No UPS. In-person pickup welcome. Your item will be packed with great care, not just a few styrofoam peanuts and some bubble wrap thrown in willy-nilly. Appoximate packed weight of the item will be stated in the auction; actual shipping cost quoted only to the winning bidder. We typicall double box. We do not try to make a profit on shipping.
*Full payment, including shipping amount as indicated by Ironmasters in US dollars will be made within 3-5 business days of auction close. Paypal, Cashier's CK from US Bank, are the accepted forms of pymt. Possible bank transfers as long as bidder absorbs all costs in advance. In no case will Ironmaster's bank account numbers be disclosed directly to a bidder.
