SHRUB CACTUS

 This beautiful plant grows rapidly to become a shrublike bush four feet tall or more even in Northern gardens. The stems are a healthy medium green. In late Spring, Spinsior blooms out in a vast display of brillant Violet Purple flowers. The velvety petals are soft and delicate and seem to sparkle in the sunlight. The blossoms are filled with contrasting bright Yellow stamen. The skeletal wood of this plant is used for making canes, picture frames, and other crafts and curios. Spinsior is a highly adaptable plant that can survive extreme heat, drought and freezing temperatures.
