PAC's OS-5 interface lets you replace the factory radio in select 2006-up GM vehicles with non-amplified, Bose®, or premium Bose®audio systems, while retaining use of OnStar®, all factory warning chimes, rear seat controls, and audible turn signal indicators. You can also retain the use of your factory-installed XM satellite radio if you're installing a new car stereo with a rear auxiliary input.

 

The PAC-OS5 is a plug and play interface that all for the replacement of a GM GMLAN Factory radio. It maintains the operation of OnStar in vehicles with Bose sound systems, amplified audio systems, and also audio systems without an external amplifier. The OS-5 has on-board switching that allows audio from the OnStar system to play through the two front factory speakers. This interface retains all factory warning chimes, audible turn signal indicators, factory XM Radio, and rear parking assist system. This is an all-in-one interface that eliminates the needed for multiple harnesses in specific GM LAN Vehicles.

      1) In Premium Amplified Systems there will be no capability of fading the aftermarket stereo.
      2) Not compatible with Chevrolet Express & GMC Savannah equipped with diesel engine.
      3) 2012 Avalanche, Sierra, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe & Yukon vehicles equipped with a navigation radio require the OSGMLAN44 harness.
      4) In order to retain the factory XM tuner the aftermarket head unit MUST be equipped with an Auxiliary Input, Steering Wheel Controls and a Driver Information Center.
