This listing is for an unusual original 19th Century bronze sculpture with bust of Claude le Lorrain on an artist's palette by French bronze artist Jacques Louis Gautier (1831-1870). The bronze is identified as being Claude le Lorrain with his name below the bust with artist's signature Jacques Gautier to the right of bust with the foundry inscription stamp below the painter's engraved name. The bronze is in the shape of an artist's palette with paint colors on left side of palette.
Bronze measures 11 1/4" high and 10" wide with bust standing 1" in relief. Weighs 3 pounds.
The bronze is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws reflecting minor signs of normal wear.
