Vintage
Handmade Wedding Gown
Abundance of Lace
1960s - 1970s
w/ Veil

This dress had been stored in a box for many years, along with the headpiece and attached veil. There doesn't appear to be any tears or rips, however, it is difficult to tell until it is cleaned and pressed, which I will leave up to the new owner. This was purchased years ago in TN.

It is a darker cream or beige color. The neck is a high lace neck . The bodice is lace covered in a "v" shape from the shoulders to the waistband on the front and back, at which point there is a satin bow. The back bow has streamers coming down. The front is adorned with hand sewn pearls. There is a satin ribbon belt around the waistband. The long sleeves are made of lace and gathered at the wrist. The back closure is a zipper with a hook and eye at the neckline. There is a sheer overlay over the gown. The bottom of the gown is trimmed with 6 inch wide beautiful lace.

The headpiece is a simple circle crown wrapped in tulle and adorned with lace that encircles the entire veil. The lace here is 3 1/2 inches wide at its widest points. The headpiece is attached to the head with a comb. The veil is 3 tiers. The longest tier measures approx. 85 inches from the base of the headpiece to the end, creating a train.

Measurements are approx. as follows: Bust 31", Waist 26 1/2", Shoulder to shoulder 14", Dress length 56" from collar seam, and sleeve length 23" from the shoulder seam.
