Alpa 9d w/ Kern Macro Switar 50mm f1.8 & Alpa Xenar 135mm f3.5 Lenses

Here’s a classic for you.  This Alpa 9D is in cosmetically very nice condition, showing minimal wear for its age.  The metal is clean and the leatherette tight.  The light meter is not working, but the body is fully functional otherwise.  The outer band of the shutter speed ring has broken, so that the mark indicating the shutter speed turns freely.  When setting the speed, you have to know what speed the shutter is currently set at, then move the ring to that speed before adjusting for the speed you want.  I typically move the speed ring all the way to Bulb, then turn it to the speed I want.  It’s cumbersome, but it does work.  And the shutter speeds are strong once you’ve got it set.  Everything else about the body works as it should.  The lenses are also in great mechanical shape.  The Switar body is clean and in very good condition.  The visifocus depth of field scale is really cool to use.  Unfortunately, the front element of the Switar is in really rough shape, with coating loss and heavy cleaning marks.  Images shot with this lens are foggy.  The Xenar 135mm, on the other hand, has very clean, sharp glass.  The body of the lens is in very good condition, with significant paint loss at the front of the lens, but otherwise clean.  I’ve included sample photos from each lens.  The first is from the Xenon, set to infinity focus, so that the pine tree is slightly out of focus.  The shed roof and bushes in the background are in focus.  The second shot is from the Switar at f11, focused at infinity.  Both shots were taken on Ilford Pan F+.  Please forgive the dust spots on the scans.  The case for the 135 doesn’t zip properly, as the zipper has detached from the case itself.  The ever-ready case for the camera is in fairly good condition, missing some stitching on the front bottom-left.  Otherwise, it shows moderate wear, but is fully functional.  I’ve tried to describe the camera and its flaws as best I can.  If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.  Inspect the photos carefully and don’t be afraid to make an offer.
