Back in 2004 Roverron developed the Mafam for the Rover & MG L series engines which transformed the diabolical performance below 2500rpm. A couple of years later Ron, better known as Tuning-diesels, devised the Digimafam digital maf boosters which worked even better.
Vehicle manufacturer's maf calibration is designed primarily to keep the emissions within tight limits and this often compromises performance, especially below 2500rpm. But once the maf becomes even slightly out of spec, the performance and fuel consumption can suffer very dramatically. This is true on many diesels not just the MG Rovers.
Our aim is to also improve the performance and mpg above normal where possible so you WILL NORMALLY ALWAYS experience a better result with our Digimafam than simply fitting a new maf (particularly a cheap or clone one)
You can see from the chart how the DGM dramatically improves the boost pressure from below 1500rpm on the Rover L series engine, virtually eliminating turbo lag and elevating the low down torque massively. It's like driving a different car. (the results depend on the condition of your maf sensor and will be less if this is in perfect working order)

FEATURES & FUNCTIONS
The Digimafam uses our digital mapping & recalibration technology and state of the art microprocessor to adjust the maf signal by varying amounts across its range. For example usually no change is needed at idle and depending on the setting the low, mid or high rpm ranges are altered accordingly. Similarly, the air flow readings displayed on a diagnostic tool won't necessarily be the same as the factory values because we intentionally alter them to the benefit of performance and economy. SO THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT INDICATIVE OF A FAULT!
Why not just fit a new maf? Simply because Bosch maf sensors are the most costly on the market and the cheaper clone,and third party (pattern) parts do not seem to work as well, if at all, nor last very long (some only have a 3month warranty so that speaks volumes...).

Now after fitting the DIGIMAFAM all I can say is WOW !!! I fitted a OE BOSCHE MAF earlier this year and that died within 3 months !!! However when it was working the ZR drove great and pulled really well BUT nothing like it does now !
Its not the quickest thing from a standing start but that mid range surge is brilliant , 2nd gear foot down and its off like a stabbed rat !! The acceleration from 40-70 mph in 4th is amazing ."
FITTING INFO:
The DGM LE plugs directly in between your maf and its existing plug. If your maf is like the one in the photo with the green tick it fits, if its like the type with the red cross, it won't.
Works with most 5pin mafs upto about 20012. Does not work with and should not be modified for other mafs or 4pin mafs.
