As with many domestic appliances lime-scale accumulation can affect efficiency of your macerator unit. Regular descaling and cleansing with our macerator descaler is the only way to stop this issue from affecting your units. Macerator descaled provides many benefits such as: it prolongs the unit’s life, it descales and disinfects the unit and it also is compatible with all types of macerator unit.

 

To use this product, simply disconnect the unit from the electricity supply, pour half of the container into the toilet bowl and leave to work for around two hours. After this time has passes, you should reconnect the unit to the electricity supply and flush twice to rinse out the unit.

 


How often should the unit be descaled?

 

In the UK there are three different types of water that can be supplied to your houses. Sift water, Hard water and very hard water, this means that your macerator units need to be cleaned different dependant on where it is you live and what water supply you may have.

 

Very Hard Water area:

You should use Macerator care at least once per month

Hard Water area:

You should use Macerator care at least once every three months

Soft Water area:

You should use Macerator care at least once every six months
