Thy Art Is Murder Following the release of theacclaimed EP ‘Infinite Death’ (2008) and their full-length debut ‘TheAdversary’ (2010), Aussie deathcore heroes TAIM quickly built a majorfollowing. On their sophomore album ‘Hate’ they vented their dissatisfactionwith many of the political, social and environmental ills of modern society;‘Holy War’ (2015) touches on themes ranging from child abuse to war and theiraversion to organised religion. Generally considered a deathcore band, theirlove of extreme metal in general is especially obvious on ‘Holy War’, mostnotably with several Behemoth-inspired passages. CJ McMahon quit the band in2015 but returned to the fold two years later, in time for the new ‘DearDesolation’ album. The lean towards traditional death metal is more pronouncedon the new album and the result has been hailed as their best work to date.Their live shows are notoriously ferocious so get in the pit or get out of theway!
